Midsummer Blues

To some it may seem like summer has just started, to others it may feel like it can't go away soon enough. Regardless of how you feel about summer, one thing in common for all of us is the amount of mud, dirt, sand, etc that we've started to accumulate inside of our cars at this point.

Warm weather means we're more likely to take our pets on various travels, and pets = hair EVERYWHERE. Pet hairs, and even human hairs, are notoriously difficult to remove from modern vehicle carpets due to the texture of both the hairs and the carpets. There are a couple of methods to try and help eliminate some of that fur from inside your car. A popular method includes spray a dilute mixture of fabric softener and water onto the carpets and then using a vacuum. The fabric softener will help cut down on any static and allow the hairs to be lifted easier. Another option is to use dedicated products such as a carpet stone or a rubber brush.

Whichever way you choose to clean, it's always better to clean as you go instead of waiting until the end of the season to do it all.
